Established in 2014, we took everything that granny taught us into a business and named the company after her. Even through the tough economic times, we have stayed true to the traditional family recipe and have not changed anything. No matter how much the ingredients cost, we use only real ingredients, no artificial flavors or colors.
I think this is the best peanut brittle I have had. The pecan brittle was delicious the only thing I found wrong with it was it had too many pecans. I'm sure some people would love all those nuts but I like to taste the brittle too.
For our anniversary, my father-in-law was given a very clear assignment by his wife: buy us a gift card for a fancy dinner. Something classy. Maybe a place with cloth napkins and a wine list that requires a translator.
Instead, he emailed us a gift card to Granny’s Confections in Howell, Michigan.
We live on the West Coast. We’ve never been to Michigan. We had no idea what Granny’s Confections was. For a moment, we thought he’d accidentally bought us credit toward a bake sale at a retirement home. The confusion was real, and the laughter was loud.
Once the laughter settled, we figured, why not? We placed an online order for Pecan Brittle, Pecan Popcorn Infusions, and Cashew Popcorn Infusions. The snacks were decent. Not life-changing, but enjoyable enough to make the whole experience worth it.
We didn’t get the fancy dinner, but we got something better. A hilarious story, some decent snacks, and a reminder that gift-giving is always an adventure.

I brought some of Granny's stuff to xmas, and my nephew was particularly enamored. He's spending the year serving our country in D.C., and I just sent him a generous Granny's supply to tide him over.
